Staying Scam Safe

The recent CrowdStrike Global Outage has seen an increase in scam activity, and while Hume Bank’s systems were not impacted by the outage, we want to ensure you know how to keep yourself scam safe.

There are three simple steps you can follow:

  1. Stop: Take your time before you give money or personal information
  2. Think: Ask yourself if the message or call could be a scam
  3. Protect: If something feels wrong, contact your bank as soon as possible and report your experience to Scamwatch: https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/

There are various types of scams that you may come into contact with and Hume Bank is here to help.  Like sharing information on how to set up tools to protect yourself from scams to  teaching you how to remain safe online.
