At Hume Bank, our community is at the heart of everything we do, that’s why we are proud to offer volunteering leave as a standard inclusion, this leave supports our staff to engagement in community service activities during business hours, whilst still getting paid.
Hume Bank has an ongoing arrangement with Meals on Wheels Albury (MOW) and Albury Wodonga Regional Foodshare (AWRFS), that offers volunteers on a 6 weekly/monthly basis to ensure these vital services can continue to support the most vulnerable individuals within our community.
On average we support 140 staff members in completing 150 hours of volunteer work per annum for our region.
In addition to our monthly volunteering leave we also partner with Albury Rotary Club to deliver the Albury region’s Good Friday Appeal; this is a proud partnership of ours with Hume Bank and Rotary staff volunteering their time to collect and count funds donated on the NSW side of the river.
2024 resulted a new record, with $100,986.50 being counted by the Hume Bank team, these are all cash donations, generously donated by the Albury and surrounding suburbs.
